The store was operating normally, with families browsing different departments and customers moving through the building, when activity near a fitting-room area reportedly attracted attention. Several people nearby noticed unusual noise and behavior, prompting employees to check on the situation and determine whether assistance was needed. At that point, there was no indication that most shoppers were in danger, but the unexpected disruption quickly became noticeable to those in the surrounding area.
According to accounts shared by witnesses, employees attempted to handle the situation calmly while continuing to protect the privacy and comfort of customers. As more shoppers became curious, some began gathering in the nearby area. A number of people also took out their phones and started recording. The growing crowd made the situation more difficult to manage, as employees needed to keep walkways open and prevent additional disruption to other customers.
